The Maestras
In these changing times,
who will be the grandmothers
that pass us the knowledge for future generations?
Arkana Collective
Center for the conservation of indigenous wisdom
The Arkana Collective
Our staff is comprised of indigenous teachers & maestras (female indigenous plant masters), as well as “bridges” (people serving as translators, on-site medicine apprentices & practitioners, etc.), and always a rotating staff of volunteers. In addition, we have a wide network of collaborators that frequently offer service to our center (such as teachers, shamanic ceremonialists, etc.). Specifically, we work with the local peoples of the Tarapoto region, area of San Martin, Anean practitioners from the Andes, & the Lamas Tribe.
Who We Are
To carry wisdom into the future, all hands in the village are needed.
